Shelf Mushroom

This is the mushroom I told you about in yesterday's post.
It is the mushroom that has survived this years long hot summer.
When one dries up another one takes it's place on another spot on the stump.
The two shots with the dew like drips is like sweat when a mushroom is in a growing state.
When they age they dry and become pitted before they wilt and become a withered black mass.

  2. These and the ones in the post below are so interesting. I always like seeing mushroom growing on the sides of trees.

  3. The one thing I miss about the tree I had cut down is the shelf mushrooms that grew on it.
